Dramatic soprano, but quite agile, though not completely in control. Walton with its jazzy complex rhythm is not her idiom. These "crossoverish" songs are a difficult challenge for many singers. Very resplendent in Ransgtrom and Sibelius though "Flickan" can be more pointed in the text (re Flagstad).

Reflections

Again inexplicably, chosen for both finals (less so in the orchestral one), she repeated both Walton and Sibelius with orchestra and piano, it just made it clearer how much work this singer is going to have to do to present these as masterworks for her voice. She needs to work more with someone who really knows Swedish.
